I'm still using Elaine's point-and-shoot, though very seldomly.  Macy likes to take pictures a lot more than I do.  Today, I had to have Elaine show me how to swtich from having it take pictures to the internal memory to the memory card.  Don't know why I couldn't figure it out.  Then, we went out for supper for Dale and Elaine's 34th anniversary and I didn't even take a picture of them.  Guess I'm still moping about not having my own camera.  I need to get over it and get on the ball with taking pictures again.

Our daycare provider often lets the boys dress up in the dress up clothes.  They love it and I think she's saving the pictures for blackmail in junior high and high school.  I had to take a picture of this guy because he is tough as nuts and his dad is quite the jokester and all football.  :)

I had two major assignments due for grad school this week.  Thankfully my mom came up to take care of my kids, clean my house, make my family supper, and do my laundry so that I could stay at work  until about 8:00 each night to work.  It was a stressful couple weeks and I couldn't have survived the end without my mom.  Tyler tried to get her to stay longer!

Since my camera has been in the shop, I've been borrowing Elaine's point-and-shoot.  I really miss my camera.  Macy is having fun taking the pictures now.

I wish Macy wouldn't have been such a crank and I could have gotten a better picture with her and Carrie, especially.  Macy looks just like all the women on Tyler's side of the family.  I'm going to make it my mission to get a decent picture of all of them together at Jenna's wedding in May!

I was trying to take a picture of Jeffrey and Macy on their bikes together (I have a blog idea in my head that I wanted a picture for).  As you can see, although Jeffrey was cooperating, Macy wanted to keep riding bike.

Everyone meet Garfield...he's Macy's new kitty and she LOVES him.  She hauls him all over the yard and plays with him everyday.  He's a good kitty, even if he doesn't look like he wants to smile for this picture.  :)

Jeffrey isn't a huge fan of coloring, but once in awhile he surprises me and sits down to color.  This is one of his drawings.  I believe those are apples on the tree and it is our sidewalk in front of the house.  Elaine taught Jeffrey how to sign his art so you can see his name and date on the side.

After partially cleaning the toy room several times in the last few months, I couldn't take it anymore.  The kids and I went through toys, got rid of toys, cleaned up toys, and organized toys tonight.  After we were done, they were both so excited to get to play in the toy room again.

Jeffrey has been watching and fascinated with parades since 2008 when his Daddy rode on his 10 year reunion high school reunion float.  Jeffrey was so excited this year when he got to ride in his first float..."Warriors are #1, Read it on Facebook!"

Tyler and I were a host couple at a friend's wedding today.  Luckily Jeffrey knows how to work the camera so he can take a picture of Tyler and I together.  We had a great time at the wedding and are officially pros at being a host couple.  I wish we could have gotten a decent picture of the four of us together because we looked cute.  Jeffrey had on a purple shirt and tie with a vest and Macy wore a black and white polka dot dress.  We were stylin'.  :)

I had no idea it was supposed to freeze last night.  So, I woke up to find my tomato and pumpkin plants wilted and dead.  Stinking frost.

(Also, you would think that I know my camera well enough to know how to delete photos.  Apparently not.  I accidentally deleted today's and tomorrow's and had to re-enact the scenes.  Oops.)

Shelly called me tonight and told me to go outside and take a picture of the moon.  I followed directions.  Good thing she called me because I hadn't taken a picture yet today.

Tyler has been gone for a few days so each night Macy goes to bed in her room and emerges about a half hour later asking if she can sleep with me.  Tonight she got to watch TV and talk to Grandma Robyn also.

It was Rally Day at church today!  Macy cried the whole way home about letting her balloon go.  Poor girl.

Jeffrey and I hunted with John Kennedy (from Huntin' the World TV) tonight.  Although we didn't shoot anything, we saw a lot of deer and had a lot of fun.  Hopefully Jeffrey will make his television debut next summer.  I'll keep you posted.

These two boys went to daycare together when they were just babies.  They haven't gone to daycare together for three years now.  Even through that and their year apart in age, they remain best buddies.

Mary, Macy's daycare provider, has the kids do all sorts of art projects.  This is one of her recent ones.  Macy is so proud each day to bring home a new project.  Jeffrey misses getting to do projects.

I recently painted (or I should say, had someone paint for me) and although I like the color, I don't like anything that I have with the color and I'm having a horrible time finding curtains to match.  I want to embrace the outdoors (since I have two deer heads that I can't get rid of) and so this is the only frame I've put up so far.  I wish I had an interior decorator!

My Sammy Gayle is in ND for awhile this September helping to care for and keep company with her Aunt Margaret.  Sammy Gayle surprised with a visit for a few days this weekend!  I love getting to see her and the kids love to show off for her!

This is one of my most prized possessions.  Derek gave it to me in May of his sophomore year, my senior year.  It was his 7th home run of the season, hit during the Regional Championship baseball game in Washburn.  It's one of the things that I would put in a box of treasures if I had one.

Oops...Jeffrey and Macy were putting dishes away tonight (well, they were playing while putting dishes away) and broke the connection between two cupboard doors off.  I've been wanting to remodel my kitchen for awhile...does this give me enough of an excuse?  I'm not so sure.

1.  Kids are tough.  It was only 67 degrees out today, but the kids insisted on playing in the lake.
