April 27, 2013 - I have always loved going to check cows with Dale.  Even before I had kids, I'd go along for fun.  So, with Tyler and the kids gone this weekend...I got to go by myself again.  Aren't these two cute?  I wish that 84 was a heifer rather than a bull so that we could buy him from Dale because he is so cute!  No need for a bull, though.

April 23, 2013 - Jeffrey and Macy have their bags packed and are getting ready to head to Wilton, Fargo, and then Omaha.  They'll be gone for almost a week!  They are so excited to see Payton and Abby.

April 13, 2013 - Jeffrey has been busy this spring helping Papa Dale check cows.  It amazes me how comfortable he is around cows now.  Not that long ago, he loved checking cows, but wouldn't get out of the vehicle.  Now, he is almost too comfortable.

March 17, 2013 - Tyler played in the Ryder Scholarship Tournament in Froid, MT this weekend.  The kids and I had fun watching him play, but his team didn't place.

March 15, 2013 - To us, March is basketball season.  Sure, we would like to think that it is springtime, but let's face it, we always get snow in March.

March 14, 2013 - I didn't actually take this picture today, it was earlier in the week, but I used a different picture for that day and really wanted to show people an extreme case of how people are living in our area.  This is a camper that I drive by on my way to work everyday.  Western North Dakota has an extreme housing shortage and people are living in campers in the winter.  This is one way to block out the cold and wind.

March 13, 2013 - I saw this picture in Fargo at Scheels months ago and had to buy it on the spot (which is not like me at all).  I finally decided to get it hung up and I'm happy with where it is.

March 12, 2013 - Jeffrey noticed that our calfy number 2 was out in the pasture as soon as he got off the school bus today.  We had to go and immediately check out the little one.

March 11, 2013 - More stuff I finally hung up.  The painting is of my great-great uncle Dewey at a fishing camp in Canada.  It was painted by my great-grandma Eva, but given to me by Dewey and his wife, Mavis.  The oil lamp was my Grandma and Grandpa Spitzer's.  I have wanted to hang it up for years, but finally got around to it.  I think I need to get a pedestal or something for the plant, but decorating at my house is always a work in progress.

March 9, 2013 - It snowed this week which meant that my boys were able to go for one more ride this winter.  I hope that's the end of the snow and they can move on to baseball or something else!

March 8, 2013 - Guess what snowbirds arrived back north today!!!  Macy was hugging Grandma Robyn and told her, "I just can't let go of you!"

 March 6, 2013 - It's a slow process, but I have been working on actually putting stuff on my walls.  I know what I like when I see it, I just am not very good at buying it and definitely not good at putting it all together.

 March 4, 2013 - Jeffrey has been asking for a pair of cowboy boots for at least two weeks now.  He is worrying that if he doesn't keep bugging us to get some, he might not have them in time for branding (which is normally around the first of June).  Well, Jeffrey got to go to Miles City with Papa for a bull sale and they stopped and bought some new Wranglers and some new cowboy boots.  Jeffrey was one EXCITED boy!

I tried taking a picture of them and couldn't get my light right at all.  I was on manual the entire time and tried several different white balances and ISO shots, but I don't love how any of them turned out.  I decided I'm going to try again tomorrow with some sunlight coming in the window versus only house lighting at 10:00 at night.

March 3, 2013 - Just after we get a little tease of warm weather and mud, the snow piles right back up!  Gotta love North Dakota in the spring time.

March 3, 2013 - Macy got to go to KennaDee's (who was also seen on my POTD here) birthday party today.  These two have been in daycare together for the past four years and are great friends.  Too bad they will be in different schools for Kindergarten.  Darn state line!

March 2, 2013 - Tyler and I went out to eat, to Walmart, and to a movie (Identity Theft, it was hilarious!) with Josh and Shelly this evening.  I took my camera along and everything so that I could get a picture of Shelly and I together...but I forgot to take a picture.  So, here is a much less exciting picture of a pile of groceries that didn't have to be put away right away when we got home.

February 28, 2013 - These two monsters have been best friends lately.  They have been all about playing make-believe.  They dress up and build forts and go hunting...and try to sneak up on Daddy and scare him!

February 27, 2013 - Just when I think that I find a picture that both Tyler and I will love (we have problems on agreeing about decorating styles), I'm wrong again.  I found this at the hospital gift shop when I had Macy in for an appointment yesterday.  I bought it on the spot because I just knew that Tyler would like it and I loved it.  Wrong again.  He didn't like it at all.  Oh well, I'm going to find a spot for it in the house anyway.

 February 26, 2013 - I decided it was time to start making some of the recipes that I pin on Pinterest or from the blogs I follow.  This is one of those recipes.  I found it on the Pioneer Woman Cooks and is called Strawberry Oatmeal Bars.  The original recipe is found on Food Network.  I don't always follow recipes, though and added about 3/4 cup of creamy peanut butter.  Let me tell you, they were delicious!

February 25, 2013 - Jeffrey and Macy had my phone all evening taking pictures of random items in the house to show Grandma over text messages.  This is a picture Jeffrey took of Macy...good thing, too because I didn't use my camera once today.

February 24, 2013 - The kids and I had a plan all weekend to take pictures on Sunday to surprise Tyler with.  Well, Tyler surprised us and got home at 6:00 am on Sunday and then the weather wasn't very cooperative.  It was a bit cooler than the previous days and there wasn't a cloud in the sky so the kids were really struggling with the light.  We'll try for another day.
