Each time we have all four grandkids together, we try to take a picture of them like this. So far, at least one or two are always crying. We took this one after a fun day at the pool and an evening grilling in the yard.
Tyler and Derek were going to go fishing tonight...well, the kids were not about to let Tyler and Derek have all the fun so it wound up being a family affair. I even made my mom come along. Payton loved reeling in Derek's pole. Macy loved running around and playing. Abby and Jeff worked hard on catching a fish. Here, Jeffrey was waiting for Tyler to cast his pole and had his hook sitting in just a few inches of water and he wound up catching a little bass. Abby and Jeffrey were both telling the story at a hundred miles an hour and so loudly. They were so excited. Abby liked fishing...as long as all the fish got to be released back in to the water.
Four Cousins - The munchkins have so much fun playing together. It always amazes me how well they get along. We went to the zoo today and enjoyed getting to see all the animals and ride the train.
Grandma Robyn and Pap Jeff had BonPops for the kids and they got one for a treat each night. Sometimes Payton got two because he shared so much of his first one with his Daddy. :)
In the pictures I have leading up to this one, all the kids are trying to convince Macy to do "no hands" on the tube. Here, she is finally brave enough. All of the kids were all smiles the whole weekend!
Jenna, Jefferson, Cole, Faith, and Mason came up to Cartwright for the weekend. We spent one evening and the next day at the lake. This is Jefferson doing a backflip off the tube. CRAZY fellow!
We have so many cute little girls in our area. Just down the road from me are a group of 5 sisters and a little farther down the road from them are a group of 6 sisters. With those 11 girls and then a few singles, like Macy, there is always a playmate to be found. Today, there were lots of playmates!
It's a good thing that Macy asked to take a few pictures today because I totally spaced out taking any pictures. Lucky Anny, she gets to be in the POTD twice this week!
What children need most are the essentials that grandparents provide in abundance. They give unconditional love, kindness, patience, humor, comfort, lessons in life. And, most importantly, cookies. ~Rudolph Giuliani
